Xplan performance issue – Resolved NEW 08.05.2024

We would like to provide you with an update regarding the recent issue affecting Xplan. We are pleased to inform you that the problem has now been resolved.

Background: As you may be aware, some users reported unexpected behaviour within Xplan. The issue resulted in users unable to login to the platform, receiving a 'bad gateway' error or experiencing performance degradation and slowness. We understand the inconvenience this may have caused, and we appreciate your patience during this time.

Check your data:  We recommend you check any work completed on the site yesterday as some users have reported that items were not saved properly due to the performance issue.

Experiencing slowness? Should you encounter any further slowness or experience ‘time outs,’ please contact Adtech via adtech@amp.com.au or 1300 367 800. While we do not expect further problems, if they do arise the Adtech team will escalate to Xplan immediately.

  • Users will be able to edit any visible thread/case/opportunity templates in their practice group/s as long as "Owner edit only = No" in the template permissions.

Action required: CFS FirstChoice (Formerly First State) datafeed NEW 15.03.2024

Colonial First State have released an enhanced datafeed for their Investment Products.  In this upgrade, CFS improved the quality and scope of FirstChoice data, resulting in reduced data entry and manually keying to update your FirstChoice clients’ information.

Please be aware that Colonial First State will be shutting off the old Investment Datafeed as at 15th March 2024.
If you are still using the old datafeed, you will have received a communication from CFS informing you to register for the new datafeed if you wish to continue receiving data.  Advisers using Xplan must register in External Platform Interface (EPI) file format 4.3 in order to continue receiving this data feed.

Details of the upgrade, and instructions on how to register for the EPI datafeed can be found here.
If you have not already completed the registration and updated these credentials via the
adviser mappings screen in Xplan, you will no longer receive this data feed.  Datafeed credentials in Xplan with a username starting with ‘CFSEPI' followed by 8 digits and password have already been registered and no further action is required.

If you require assistance updating these credentials in Xplan please email the details to adtech@amp.com.au

For all other queries regarding this upgrade please contact your CFS Business Development Manager or call CFS Adviser Services on 13 18 36, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6pm, Sydney time.

Client Portal Notifications issue 03.11.2023

There is currently an issue with where notifications are not being sent for users set under the Client Portal Notifications field.

The alternative is to use one of the below three fields for client portal notifications which we can confirm are working:

  • Secondary Adviser
  • Administrator
  • Client Services Manager

To avoid confusion we have hidden the Client Portal Notifications field in Xplan until further notice.

We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused

Xplan 2FA is required for all users by 30 October 23.10.2023

Have you enabled two-factor authentication (2FA) on your Xplan account?

On Monday 30 October all Xplan users will have 2FA enforced. This means if you have not yet activated 2FA you will be unable able to access Xplan until this has been enabled.

This is a crucial security feature all practices are required to implement to help protect both you and your clients, and to align with the Cyber Security policy which took effect 1 September 2023.

Please follow the steps in the 'How to enable two-factor authentication on Xplan - guide' to enable Xplan 2FA today.
